UGC video examples: 3 real clips, scored

every ugc video example on page one is a screenshot of a campaign someone else already ran. you cannot play it and you cannot license it. these are three clips from our own library with the emotion, the runtime and the score printed next to each one.

most ugc video examples on page one are screenshots of campaigns that already ran. you cannot play them, you cannot license them, and none of them tell you which second did the work. below are three clips you can watch right now, each with the emotion, the runtime and the score printed next to it.

what the results page is actually rewarding

we pulled the live results for "ugc video examples" on 27 august 2026, before writing this.

  • there is no ai overview on it. of the 15 serps we pulled this morning, 11 carried one. this is one of the 4 that did not.
  • the organic slots we can see go to cohley at 3, veelapp at 5, showca.se at 6, yotpo at 8 and pinterest at 9.
  • google is stacking a video block, a short-video block and an image block on the page.

two things fall out of that.

the first is that google wants footage on this query, not paragraphs. every list ranking here is a gallery.

the second is more useful. the vendors holding those slots are publishing stills of work they did for a client. you can look at that. you cannot use it, price it, or put it in an ad next tuesday.

what a ugc video example should tell you

a useful example answers four things:

  • which emotion is on screen
  • how long the clip runs
  • how it scored against everything else in the library
  • whether you can license it

a campaign screenshot answers none of them. you get a thumbnail, a logo, and a sentence claiming a lift.

so here are three, with all four attached.

example 1: the opener. gym, 5 seconds, scored 65

carlos, filmed in a gym in athletic wear. five seconds. scored 65.

he is on a treadmill, looks up with wide eyes and an open mouth, then the expression drops into slight confusion.

why it opens: an opener is not selling anything. it is buying one second. a surprised face makes the viewer ask what that person is looking at, and the answer is your app. you have not made a claim yet. you have bought the right to keep talking.

five seconds is also the cheapest thing you can be wrong about. if the hook underneath it fails, you lost five seconds of footage, not a shoot day.

the room matters here more than the face. if you are running a fitness app, a clip filmed in an actual gym does half the targeting before anyone reads the caption.

example 2: the problem beat. 13 seconds, scored 80

eliza, filmed indoors. thirteen seconds. scored 80.

she starts shocked, hand at her mouth and chest, then slides into something worried and contemplative.

why it sits in the middle: this is the beat almost nobody buys, and almost every ad needs it. the opener already stopped the scroll. now the viewer has to recognise their own problem before you show them the fix.

a worried face does that with no voiceover at all. it is also the hardest beat to fake, which is why the generated version of it reads as costume.

thirteen seconds is long for this library. use the back half of it.

example 3: the payoff. 12 seconds, scored 85

lilia, filmed indoors. twelve seconds. scored 85. the highest scored clip of the three.

she gasps, eyes wide and mouth open, and the expression turns into a big excited smile.

why it closes: the turn is the value. a face that is happy for twelve seconds is a stock photo. a face that changes state inside twelve seconds is a before and after you did not have to narrate.

what the score is, and what it is not

the number next to each clip is our own 0 to 100 rating. it ranks clips against each other so you can sort a shortlist instead of scrubbing through everything.

it is not a platform metric and it is not a forecast. a clip scored 85 will not rescue a bad product.

the catalog behind it, counted today: 5,340 rows, of which 4,973 are published video clips carrying a preview you can play before you buy. the rest are images and clips still processing.

the two examples that beat anything in my library

dan posted these two tiktoks on 5 october 2025. one did 40 views. the other did 200k. his post is here.

dan's screenshot of the AI UGC version on the tiktok for you page: a polished ai presenter holding a vitamin bottle, posted by an ai marketing account. 15 likes, 0 comments, 5 saves, 2 shares.

the first is posted by an account named "KRDIGITALS | Ai marketing". a presenter in a bright kitchen, holding a vitamin bottle at eye level, even light, product legible. 15 likes on the counter.

dan's screenshot of the real creator version on the tiktok for you page: a face-to-camera studytok story about a professor accusing her of using chatgpt. 2,114 likes, 8 comments, 83 saves, 18 shares.

the second is a creator talking straight into the lens about a professor who accused her of using chatgpt because there was a semicolon in her essay. hand half over her face. 2,114 likes.

the first one is not badly made. that is the point. dan's own line on it: "doesn't matter how perfect your lipsync is."

that is the argument for looking at clips instead of campaign decks. the polished one lost by a factor of 5,000 on views.

if you want the version of this with a customer's measured hook rate attached, it is written up in ai ugc against real human ugc.

one example is not a plan

this is where every example roundup fails. it hands you one clip and calls it a template.

dan put the arithmetic on linkedin on 26 august 2026: at $100k/month in app ad spend, 95% of the creative never reaches the scale campaign. every ad auto pauses at 5,000 impressions, then has to clear spend gates at $100, $250 and $500. only the ads that clear all three get scaled. the post is here.

5% survival rate.

his line under it: "the framework is not the hard part. feeding it 20 new ads a week is."

so the question this page should answer is not "which clip is the best one".

it is "where do i get 20 distinct openers next week".

three clips is a start. it is not the answer.

where these came from, and what they cost

all three clips above sit in the b-roll library, filterable by emotion, location, length and score. that is the difference between this page and the rest of the results page: you can watch the example, then buy that exact file.

  • pricing is per clip with commercial rights, not a seat and not a subscription
  • packages covers the case where you need a volume of openers rather than one file
  • custom orders is for when you need your product in frame and the library cannot cover it

if you are pricing this against hiring a creator directly, the numbers are in what ugc creators actually charge. if you already have clips and the problem is that they stopped working, that is a refresh-rate problem and it is covered in how often to swap ugc creative.

the honest caveat

a clip that worked for someone else can do nothing for you.

the 5% survival rate above is the honest version of that. 95 out of every 100 ads built off examples like these did not clear the gates, in an account spending $100k a month.

so the variance is real, and an example list that does not say so is selling you something.

the response is not better example hunting. it is more openers, cheaper, tested against each other.

pick three emotions, not three clips of the same face. the fastest way to waste a month is to buy five versions of the same reaction and wonder why every test reads the same.
